Kuta beach
Lombok’s beach fame started in the beautiful Kuta Bay. A huge beach of yellow sand and crystal clear water, with giant boulders on either side. Today the beach road has been converted into a modern promenade. Kuta beach offers calm, clear waters for swimming, as well as incredible views of the ocean.
Selong Belanak
Just in the other direction to the west, and this time 20 kilometres from Kuta, is Selong Belanak. This spectacular beach is often visited by many visitors. It is actually one of the best places in Asia to have your first surfing experience. You can also do the tour by motorbike. As well as attending the best sunsets in South Lombok.
Tanjung Aan
Tanjung Aan beach is easily accessible from Kuta, in the south of Lombok, surrounded by crystal clear turquoise water. It has two magnificent lookout points, which offer a wonderful view of the beach itself and adjacent beaches. It is mainly suitable for kitesurfers and sailors.
Tetebatu
If you base yourself in Kuta Lombok, you can also take a day trip to the beautiful Village of Tetebatu, a Village south of the Rinjani volcano. You will see plantations of all kinds of fruits and vegetables, waterfalls and beautiful rice terraces.
